EDITOR

James Bradbury

James is Synaps’ editor, supporting researchers through the successive stages of writing. He recently completed a PhD in Social Anthropology, conducting fieldwork on refugees, religion, and party politics in Kolkata, India. He is eager to apply his research experience to a new context, supporting local researchers in their work while gaining his own understanding of Lebanon’s political system. In particular, he is embarking upon a study of Achrafieh and the shifting dynamics in the politics of its Christian communities. He sees Synaps as a place which satisfyingly bridges intellectual work and tangible contributions to society at large.
